Opéra Grand Avignon

Opéra Grand Avignon

The Opéra Grand Avignon plays a major role in our town, where it is one of the main tools of cultural development, fully accomplishing its role of service to the public, with programming covering a wide range of artistic disciplines (opera, symphony orchestra, chamber music, theatre, light music, humour, ballet). This magnificent Italian theatre (19th century), a true temple of live performance, can pride itself on having more than 90 000 spectators every year, for over a hundred of representations.

Further, the Opera continues putting on awareness events for children during dress rehearsals and training workshops. Since the 5th March 2013, the Opéra Grand Avignon has opened  a workshop around singing (for 18 to 25 year-olds).
